Descendants of John DRUMMOND

Notes

1. John DRUMMOND

"This man, when he had reached adult age, was living at a place
named Glenednick. In course of time he gave up the lease of his holding
and moved about four miles to Ochtertyre, near Crieff, and worked on
the Murray estate then owned by Sir Patrick and later Sir William. For
some reason . . . he changed his name from MacGregor to DRUMMOND."
The supposed reason for the name change was in deference to custom and to honour the Duke of Perth, the Chief, on moving from Glenednick
to Ochtertyre.
